U KNO NOTHING OF JABEAR ʕ •ᴥ•ʔ
So I don’t know what my feelings are on ‘Elementary’ but

there is one thing I don’t like people complaining about.

I’ve only read a few stories from the canon Sherlock Holmes, and only seen the preview for ‘Elementary,’ but

people need to stop complaining that Miller’s Sherlock is out of character.

I think the way Sherlock is portrayed in the BBC show is fantastic, it’s a spin on the original and gives him some depth.  He’s sociopathic - Or is he?  OH WHAT looks like he’s a soft teddy bear and secretly loves everyone and would jump off a hospital for his friends.

It’s interesting, but it’s not ENTIRELY canon.

Again, I haven’t read many Sherlock stories, but Miller’s character is actually a bit more in-character.

The canon seems much more genial and gentlemanly than the BBC Sherlock, with occasional outbursts when he gets excited.  He has a childishness, and occasionally gets frustrated, but he’s overall a polite 19th century English gentleman. He’s not sociopathic, he just doesn’t get really emotionally attached to people (except Watson).  He doesn’t like seeing people get killed, he just likes solving puzzles.

And he did cocaine when he got bored, so I kinda like the whole thing about him being a recovering addict.

… But I’m still not so sure he’d use Google.
